Born into a middle-class family, she graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid with a degree in journalism and began her career at TVE1, Spain’s main television network.

Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano was raised in a traditional Catholic household by her parents, Paloma Rocasolano Rodríguez and Jesús José Ortiz Álvarez. She attended the Instituto Ramiro de Maeztu for secondary education and later pursued higher education at the School of Communication at Complutense University of Madrid.
