Johann Sebastian Bach is the most performed and recorded composer in history. He wrote over 1,100 compositions, including the Mass in B Minor and The Well-Tempered Clavier. Born into a musical family in 1685, he lost his parents early and studied at St. Michael's School. His work influenced Beethoven, Chopin, and many other later masters.
