Olof Palme

Sweden

Olof Palme, Sweden's prime minister for two terms, was shot dead on Sveavägen in 1986 after watching Bröderna Mozart. He rose from an upper-class Stockholm family to lead the Social Democrats, serving from 1969 to 1976 and again from 1982 until his murder. Palme also appeared as himself in the 1967 film I Am Curious Yellow, sparking controversy. His assassination remains unresolved.
