She married bodybuilder Mickey Hargitay in 1954, with whom she had two children: Jayne Marie Mansfield (born 1956) and Zoltan Hargitay (born 1958). They divorced in 1963 after a highly publicized affair. In the same year, she married Italian filmmaker Matt Cimber.

Tragically, Jayne Mansfield’s life was cut short on June 29, 1967, when she died in a car accident near New Orleans, Louisiana.
