Natasha Richardson won the 1998 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Sally Bowles in Cabaret. She trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama and was a member of the Redgrave acting dynasty in London. She earned a Tony nomination for her Broadway debut in Anna Christie 1993. She died in 2009 at age 45 from a head injury sustained during a skiing lesson in Quebec.
