Ho Chi Minh, born Nguyễn Sinh Cung in 1890, led North Vietnam as president from 1945 until his death in 1969. A Marxist-Leninist, he was chairman of the Workers' Party of Vietnam. His name means He Who Enlightens, and he appears in archive footage in documentaries such as The Vietnam War 2017.
