Ahmet Ertegun

Ahmet Ertegun co-founded Atlantic Records with Herb Abramson in 1947. He served as chairman for decades and entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a non-performer in 1987. The son of a Turkish diplomat, he grew up in Washington, D.C., and won the Grammy Trustees Award and Library of Congress Living Legend honor.
