William Kamkwamba
William Kamkwamba is a Malawian writer born August 5, 1987 in Dowa, Malawi. He became known worldwide for his memoir The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, adapted into a 2019 film. Kamkwamba attended Dartmouth College, African Bible Colleges, and the African Leadership Academy, and received the Corine Literature Prize and the GO Ingenuity Award.
