In 1938 Howard Hughes flew around the world in 3 days, 19 hours, and 17 minutes, earning a ticker-tape parade in New York. He produced landmark films like Scarface 1932 and Hell's Angels 1930. Later in life he became a reclusive billionaire, dying of kidney failure in 1976.
