Argentina
Che Guevara, a Marxist revolutionary, led insurgent forces to defeat government troops in Santa Clara in December 1958. After Castro took power, he served as Minister of Agriculture and wrote 'Guerilla Warfare' 1960 before departing to spread revolution in the Belgian Congo and Bolivia.
