Nora Ephron earned an Oscar nomination for her original screenplay for When Harry Met Sally 1989. She made her directorial debut with This Is My Life 1992 and co-wrote and directed Sleepless in Seattle 1993. Ephron died in 2012 at age 71 from pneumonia caused by leukemia.
