Audrey Hepburn won the 1953 Academy Award for Best Actress for Roman Holiday, her first major film role. She became a style icon through films like Breakfast at Tiffany's 1961 and My Fair Lady 1964, earning four additional Oscar nominations. After retiring from acting in 1967, she served as a UNICEF special ambassador from 1988 until her death from appendiceal cancer in 1993 at age 63.
