Born in Rijeka, Croatia on October 5, 1977, Sascha Star born Saša Šušnjar grew up in a Croatian-speaking household. He later studied at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in the United States, which launched his international career.

Career

Sascha Star’s early television credit includes a role on the German soap opera Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten in 1992 as Ricky. He appeared in the pilot episode of Prison Break in 2005 as a passenger on a ship. His most notable work came from collaborations with Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk: he played Mickey in American Horror Story 2011, and later returned for multiple seasons as Clowns, Eddie, Manuel Vogel, and a zombie boy. He also appeared in the series Scream Queens and Ratched, working alongside Emma Roberts and Sarah Paulson. In European television, he guest-starred in Serbian series Besa and Ubice mog oca. He also played Jurij Kolichenko on NCIS: Los Angeles, Noelle on Bates Motel, and Miloš Kovač on Alarm for Cobra 11. He won the MTV Adria award.
