Eduardo De Filippo

Eduardo De Filippo made his stage debut at age 5 playing Peppiniello in his father's comedy Miseria e Nobiltà. In 1932, he formed his own stage company with his siblings Titina and Peppino, and began appearing in films in 1933. He wrote, directed, and acted in numerous films, including The Gold of Naples 1954 and Everybody Go Home! 1960. He received the Feltrinelli Prize and the Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. He also served as a member of the Italian Parliament from 1981 until his death in 1984.
