Vin Diesel, born Mark Sinclair, broke into acting after his short film Multi-Facial 1995 caught Steven Spielberg's attention, leading to a role in Saving Private Ryan 1998. He became a global star as Dominic Toretto in The Fast and the Furious franchise starting in 2001 and voiced Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy 2014. Diesel has also produced and directed, and launched the video game company Tigon Studios.
