Aaron Paul decided to become an actor in eighth grade after joining the theatre department at Centennial High School in Boise. He was born on August 27, 1979, in Emmett, Idaho, to Darla Haynes and Robert Sturtevant, a retired Baptist minister. He grew up participating in church programs and performing in plays. After high school, he moved to Los Angeles and worked as an usher at the Universal Studios Movie Theatre in Hollywood in the late 1990s.
