Her breakthrough came in 1974 with the release of her debut album ‘Lady Magic‘, but it was ‘Love to Love You Baby’ in 1975 that truly set her apart as an international star.

Donna Summer’s personal life was filled with love and music. In 1980, she married producer Giorgio Moroder, though they divorced in 1982. Her enduring partnership began the following year when she wed songwriter and musician Bruce Sudano, a union that lasted until her death. Together, they had two children: Brooklyn and Amanda Sudano.
Throughout her life, Summer grappled with health issues, including lung cancer which claimed her life on May 17, 2012, at the age of sixty-three. Her legacy as a disco pioneer lives on through her music that continues to influence generations of artists and fans alike.
