Bohr began his education at the University of Copenhagen, then studied at Trinity College, Cambridge, and the University of Cambridge.

Career

Bohr’s breakthrough came when he applied quantum theory to atomic structure, earning him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1922. He received many other honors, including the Franklin Medal, Copley Medal, and Max Planck Medal. His work inspired the 2002 play Copenhagen, where he appears alongside Werner Heisenberg.

Personal life

Bohr married Margrethe Norlund on 1 August 1912. They had four sons: Ernest, Erik, Hans, and Aage. Aage Bohr also became a physicist and won a Nobel Prize. Bohr died of a heart attack in Copenhagen on 18 November 1962.

Legacy

If something's wrong in a profile, Daniel will find it. With 7 years of research experience, he's developed an almost unreasonable eye for inaccurate career timelines, misattributed credits, and dates that don't quite add up. He doesn't publish anything he can't verify. The profiles on Famousy are as accurate as they are largely because of work you'll never see his name on.
