Early life

Winston Churchill entered the world at Chequers in Buckinghamshire on 10 October 1940, while his grandfather led Britain through World War II. His father, Randolph Churchill, was a journalist and politician, and his mother, Pamela Harriman, later became a U.S. ambassador. He attended Eton College and Christ Church, Oxford, continuing the family’s educational tradition.

Career

Churchill followed his grandfather into politics, serving as a Conservative Member of Parliament. He became a television personality, appearing on programmes such as This Week and A Week in Politics. In the 1990s, he was the subject of the documentary Churchill and the Movie Mogul.

Personal life

Winston Churchill married Mary Caroline d’Erlanger in 1964; they had four children: Randolph, Jennie, Marina, and John. After their divorce in 1997, he married Luce Danielson, who remained with him until his death. He was the half-brother of Arabella Churchill and Brooke Hayward.

Legacy

Churchill served as a Conservative MP and television commentator.
