On Canada’s Centennial Day, July 1, 1967, Pamela Denise Anderson was born in Ladysmith, British Columbia — the first baby born there that day. Her father Barry worked as a furnace repairman; her mother Carol was a waitress. She graduated from École Highland Secondary School in Comox in 1985. At a BC Lions football game, the stadium jumbotron caught her wearing a Labatt’s Beer t-shirt, leading to a modeling offer and a move to Hollywood.
