Tiffany Young was born Stephanie Hwang in San Francisco, California on August 1, 1989. Her mother called her Tiffany, a name that stuck. She grew up in Diamond Bar, California, attending South Pointe Middle School and Diamond Bar High School. At age 15, she moved to South Korea alone to audition for Girls’ Generation.

Career

In 2007, Tiffany debuted as a member of Girls’ Generation SNSD, a group that became one of the best-selling acts in Korea. She served as the English speaker for the group. In 2011, she began her acting career with a lead role in the Korean adaptation of the musical Fame. In 2016, she became the second member to debut as a soloist with the album I Just Wanna Dance, which reached #3 on the Billboard World Albums Chart and sold over 61,000 physical copies. In 2021, she played Roxie Hart in the Korean production of the Broadway musical Chicago. In 2022, she appeared in the hit drama Reborn Rich, whose final episode achieved a 26.9% nationwide rating, making it the second highest-rated drama in Korean cable television history.
