She first gained recognition as Elaine Benes on Seinfeld 1989, a role that earned her multiple Emmys and a Golden Globe. Later, she starred as Selina Meyer on Veep 2012, winning six consecutive Emmys for Lead Actress. She also received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 2018.
