Rip Torn won a Primetime Emmy Award in 1996 for his role as producer Artie on The Larry Sanders Show. He also starred as Zed in the 1997 blockbuster Men in Black and earned an Academy Award nomination for his supporting role in Cross Creek 1983. Torn, a first cousin of Oscar-winner Sissy Spacek, studied at the Actors Studio and appeared in over 100 films and TV shows.
