Robin Williams, born July 21, 1951 in Chicago, became well-known as Mork on Mork & Mindy in 1978. He won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for Good Will Hunting in 1997 and earned acclaim for roles in Good Morning, Vietnam and Dead Poets Society. His comedic talent was showcased in Mrs. Doubtfire and his voice work as Genie in Aladdin. He died by suicide on August 11, 2014.
