Early life
Pedro Pascal was born José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal in Santiago, Chile, on April 2, 1975. His parents, Verónica Pascal and José Balmaceda, a medical professional, fled the brutal regime of Augusto Pinochet, moving to Denmark when Pascal was a baby and later to the United States. He was raised in Orange County, California, and San Antonio, Texas. He attended the Orange County School of the Arts and later graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 1997. Before relocating to New York City, he also lived and worked in Madrid.
