Early life
Rita Ora’s maternal grandfather, Osman Bajraktari, was the Albanian consul to Russia. She was born on November 26, 1990, in Prishtina, SFR Yugoslavia now Kosovo, to Vera and Besnik Sahatçiu. When she was one year old, her family moved to London, settling in West London. She attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court, then graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School and St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. Her father owned a pub where she began singing performances from a young age, setting the stage for her music career.
