Early life

Victoria Dayneko was born on May 12, 1987 in Kirovskiy, Kazakh SSR now Balpyq, Kazakhstan. She grew up speaking Russian in the Alma-Atinskaya oblast. She took up music early, a path that would lead to her breakthrough on national television.

Career

Victoria Dayneko won the All-Russian TV show Star Factory-5 in 2004, launching her career. She became widely known across Russia and Eastern Europe. In 2007, she recorded the soundtrack Film Ne O Lyubvi for the movie V Ozhidanii Chuda. Two years later, she performed the title soundtrack for a film about Admiral Kolchak at the Russian premiere with an orchestra.

Voice acting became another avenue for her. In 2010, she voiced Rapunzel in the Russian dub of Disney’s Tangled. She later voiced Princess Poppy in DreamWorks’ Trolls 2016 and Trolls World Tour 2020. Her 2011 hit Sotri ego iz memory won a Golden Gramophone and drew millions of listeners. She released the English album V in 2014, recorded in London with producer Pete Boxsta Martin and Dantae Johnson. That same year, Russian Glamour magazine named her Singer of the Year. She appeared in films such as Where’s the Logic? 2015 and All Inclusive Ili Vsyo Vklyucheno 2011. In 2018, she joined the cast of the TV series Ulyotniy Ekipazh. Her fourth album, Magnitnye, came out in February 2019, with the music video for Tvoya Devochka gaining millions of YouTube views.

Personal life

Victoria Dayneko married Dmitriy Kleyman in 2015, the same year she gave birth to her daughter. After a short break, she returned to performing in 2016. She maintains an active career in music and acting.
