Shania Twain, born Eilleen Regina Edwards in 1965 in Windsor, Ontario, became legal guardian of her siblings after her parents died in a crash in 1987. Her 1997 album Come On Over sold 19 million copies in the US and set chart records. She won the Grammy for Best Country Song for You're Still the One and was named CMA Entertainer of the Year in 1999. Her career defined country pop crossover.
